FREE THROW CHAMPIONSHIP
Boys and Girls Ages 9-14, (Eligibility is determined by age as of January 1, 2023)Hosted by: Knights of Columbus #3162 of Mission San Luis Rey https://kofc3162.org/freethrow
Since 1972, local Knights of Columbus councils have sponsored the Free Throw Championship all across the country for boys and girls from the ages of 9 to 14 to provide an athletic outlet and encourage the values of sportsmanship and healthy competition. Kids compete within their own gender and age and progress from the local level to district, regional and state competitions. Before the pandemic, in 2019 more than 120,000 sharpshooters participated in over 3,600 local competitions

| ELIGIBILITY: | Open to all boys and girls in the Greater North County area Ages 9–14 (as of January 1, 2023). Proof of Age required: Must be present when competition begins. |
| ENTRY /SIGN UP: | No pre–signup is required but is recommended. Players can sign up the day of the event from 9:00-9:30 am (registration will close promptly at 9:30) at the check-in table on the Official Entry Form which requires parental consent. Bring a parent to sign and proof of age! |

Council Christmas Party – Friday Dec 9 5-8pm:
Please bring the family and enjoy the festivities. The council will provide the main course of ham and turkey. We ask those attending to bring a side dish or dessert. Activities will include an “Ugly” Sweater Contest (prize to be awarded). PGK Austin and Lady Luz will be hosting a White Elephant gift exchange event. If you would like to participate, please bring a wrapped unisex gift between $20-$30. We will also be raffling off 2 gift baskets as well. We will be collecting wrapped toys for the “Toys for Tots” program and there will also be an “Angel Tree” in which you pick a name for someone in need to fulfill their gift request (Loretto House). And last but not least, there will be a visit from Santa Claus (so be good for goodness sake). The dress code will be holiday casual. Please respond if you plan on bringing a side dish or dessert and what it is.
