🌟 Knights of Columbus Charity Golf Tournament Update

We’re disappointed that the Marine Memorial Golf Course must close temporarily for essential maintenance, but we’re truly grateful for the enthusiasm and support our community has shown. This tournament was created to honor MSgt Tuputala (Tala) Paulo — a hero, leader, and brother — and that spirit of service remains strong even as we pause.

The base recently notified us that the course will close beginning July 18th for emergency grounds maintenance, a necessary step to ensure safety and protect the course for future events.

Our team quickly explored every realistic alternative — moving the date to September, relocating to another local course, and coordinating with sponsors, players, and base access. After reviewing all options, it became clear that such a large last‑minute change would create more disruption than benefit, so cancelling the tournament is the most responsible choice.

Although the tournament cannot proceed as scheduled, our mission remains strong. We will continue raising funds for our charities through the online auction, ensuring that the positive impact of this event carries forward.
