As a result of many generous sponsors and players over the years we have been able to expand and support our Charitable Ministries both here at Mission San Luis Rey parish, but also all of San Diego County.

As we look forward to August 23, 2024 we are again asking for your critical support to continue our Ministries knowing that they make a difference in many, many lives here in our community. In 2023 we have chosen to benefactor the needs of the Mission San Luis Rey Parish which supports needy families and youth activities & the Semper Fi Fund ( Semper Fi Fund/America’s Fund Camp Pendleton Unit. Provides Financial Support to Combat Wounded, ill & Injured Members of Armed Services &Their Families). We have also chosen to host our event at the Marine Memorial Golf Course (MMGC) , which supports our Sailors and Marines onboard Camp Pendleton with more than 80 comprehensive programs supported by Non-Appropriated Funds, profits generated from retail, services, and recreational activities, such as golf events at Marine Memorial Golf Course.

Last year was such a great success. Our tournament has been dedicated to a 26 year retired Marine MSgt, who passed away in May 2022. He was a cornerstone of our parish and community and exemplified Charity, Unity and Fraternity. The, “MSgt Tuputala (Tala) Paulo 2nd Annual Memorial Charity Golf Tournament”. We’ve upgraded and streamlined this year’s tournament with on-course beverage carts and a buffet style dinner, extra bar tenders, just to name a few items, I want to say thank you for your consideration and donating your time and resources in supporting our Knights of Columbus Council and these charities.

Turn left on College Blvd.  At the “T” intersection, turn right on North River Road/Vandegrift Blvd. Stay on Vandegrift and go towards the San Luis Rey Gate, please use the far right lane. Pass the Paintball field on your left. Turn left onto 4th Street. Turn left on Golf Course Road.   Directions from I-I5: Take Highway 76 West towards Oceanside. Turn right on North River Road (two miles past Bonsall). Turn right onto Vandegrift Blvd. Go towards the San Luis Rey Gate, please use the far right lane. Pass the Paintball field on your left. Turn left onto 4th Street. SCHEDULE:	07:00 – Player check-in is open/Practice Range Opens, Sign in, get your grab bag, purchase Golf Extras if you haven’t and goodies, allow 30 extra minutes for heavy base commuter traffic expected. 07:45 – Putting Contest (Special Prize for Winner) 08:25 – Pledge of Allegiance 08:30 – 13:30 GOLF Shotgun Start (4 Person Scramble Best Ball):  Immediately Following Tournament Play – Ball Drop, Conversation, Laughter and No host Cocktails, Dinner/Awards Banquet, bidder winner’s table, prizes, trophy table, announcements, Winning Trophy Presentation, about Tala Paulo closing remarks and thank you’s
ELIGIBILITY:	Open to all golfers civilians, active duty and veterans.
