Hey there, golf enthusiasts, community members, and supporters of all ages! We are beyond excited to announce the upcoming MSgt Tuputala (Tala) Paulo 3nd Annual Memorial Charity Golf Tournament, set to take place on August 29,2025 at the beautiful Marine Memorial Golf Course (MMGC). Mark your calendars because this is an event you won’t want to miss!

A Day of Golf with a Purpose

This tournament isn’t just about swinging clubs and sinking putts; it’s about making a real difference in the lives of those in need. With the generous support of our sponsors, players, and volunteers, we’ve been able to expand our Charitable Ministries here at Mission San Luis Rey Parish and throughout San Diego County, Camp Pendleton community.

Supporting Worthy Causes

This year, our tournament is dedicated to supporting the Mission San Luis Rey Parish, which helps needy families and youth activities, and the “Semper Fi & America’s Fund, which provides financial support to combat-wounded, ill, and injured service members and their families. Your participation and contributions will go a long way in aiding these incredible causes.

Honoring a Hero

Our tournament holds a special place in our hearts as it is dedicated to the memory of MSgt Tuputala (Tala) Paulo, a retired Marine who passed away in May 2022. Tala was a true cornerstone of our parish and community, exemplifying our core mission of “In service to One, In service to all”.He reflected our comittment to serviing God and our fellow human beings and he captured our mission of Charity, Unity, Fraternity & Patriotism. We are honored to remember and celebrate his legacy through this event.

Turn left on College Blvd. At the “T” intersection, turn right on North River Road/Vandegrift Blvd. Stay on Vandegrift and go towards the San Luis Rey Gate, please use the far right lane. Pass the Paintball field on your left. Turn left onto 4th Street. Turn left on Golf Course Road. Directions from I-I5: Take Highway 76 West towards Oceanside. Turn right on North River Road (two miles past Bonsall). Turn right onto Vandegrift Blvd. Go towards the San Luis Rey Gate, please use the far right lane. Pass the Paintball field on your left. Turn left onto 4th Street. SCHEDULE:	07:00 – Player check-in is open/Practice Range Opens, Sign in, get your grab bag, purchase Golf Extras if you haven’t and goodies, allow 30 extra minutes for heavy base commuter traffic expected. 07:30 – 8:15 Putting Contest (Special Prize for Winner) 08:25 – Pledge of Allegiance 08:30 – 13:30 GOLF Shotgun Start (4 Person Scramble Best Ball): Immediately Following Tournament Play – Ball Drop, Conversation, Laughter and No host Cocktails, Dinner/Awards Banquet, bidder winner’s table, prizes, trophy table, announcements, Winning Trophy Presentation, about Tala Paulo closing remarks and thank you’s
ELIGIBILITY:	Open to all golfers civilians, active duty and veterans.
